Scale of the Gantt Chart
Click the drop-down list on the ZOOM toolbar to set a zoom factor, and select a zoom factor
You'll see the timeline of the Gantt chart adjust itself accordingly

Some examples of use:
100% will show your entire project from the earliest start date to the last end date
50% will show your entire project in half the screen area.
200% will show half of your project on the screen.
On the toolbar Zoom, click the
Zoom in/out buttons
to adjust the timeline.

Try clicking the timeline and then scrolling your mouse wheel "scroller". You'll note the timeline moves back and forth in time.
To align the chart to the
current date ("today") click the button " Now "
.
The chart will align itself to show today's date on the left-most side
To show a start date of the
selected task click the button ![]()
This takes whatever task you've selected and aligns the left-most side of the task with the left-most side of the Gantt chart window

1. In the task menu, select Change start date of project
2. Use the drop-down calendar to select a new start date.
3. Click OK and your Gantt chart will set the earliest task item to the date you've set.
