Tasks (also called Activities) are the central organizing concept of a Gantt chart.
In JCVGantt, when connected to MindManager...you might have some trouble understanding the nomenclature because MindManager refers to each branch of their visual map as a "Topic", while in our Gantt, we refer to "Tasks".
(To further confuse MindManager 2002 users, what Mindjet now calls a "Topic", used to be called a "Branch"!)
Our suggestion, is don't worry about what it's called.
Just think of the Task, Activity, Topic, Branches, Goals...whatever you choose to represent on the gantt chart... as simply "stuff that we need to schedule and show on a timeline", and you'll free your mind to invent new uses of the gantt.
