Over the last 10 years, MindManager has become a

the first thing you should do is click the "Learning tab" and watch
a video on how to use it.
You'll quickly learn to type your ideas and watch them
grow into "maps" of knowledge, or use the extensive library of
built-in templates which includes templates to help plan your to-do list, manage
contacts, develop new products, write reports, manage team
goal-setting, meeting minutes, etc... that's included with the
product.
My main tip for first time users is
this - learn to use the keyboard commands to run the program, and
there are four basic commands - Insert, Enter, Delete, Cursor Key.
Use the Insert key to add a sub-branch,
and your Enter key to continue adding on the same level...and that's
basically 90% of what you need to know to use MindManager.
Use the Delete key to delete a
branch, and the Cursor keys to navigate the Visual map.
