Working with the Resources Grid
The Resource grid allows you to edit resource-related information in the system.

To change data, click the cell where you'd like to change the data and type it in.
The "Units" column is a bit different from the other cells in that selecting it causes a popup combo- box that allows you to change the unit between:
    • Fixed - Costs listed in the costs column are not affected by schedule.

Typically material costs are listed as "fixed" if they are not time-dependent
    • Hourly - Costs listed in the costs column are hourly costs
    • Daily - Costs listed in the costs column are daily costs
    • Weekly - Costs listed in the costs column are weekly costs
    • Annually - Costs listed in the costs column are annual costs
Note: You may type in something different into the units column than what is listed in the drop- down combobox if you like, but the cost value will then be considered "fixed".

The Load Column allows you to change the percentage of a schedule when a resource is available. For example, in the above grid Jeff costs  $740 weekly. If he's only available for 1/2 each week to work on a project, we could set his load to 50.00. Thereafter, all calculations would assume that he's working half of a week, and the total cost display will halve all calculations of costs.
The other fields in the Resource Grid you may use to display any information you'd like to store.
Read the section on "Creating your own Fields" to see how you can create your own user-defined fields in this grid.
