Start/Finish
Open the Properties
Dialog for any task.
Click the Start
or Finish comboboxes and a calendar appears.
Change the dates
on the calendar and click OK and you'll see the task bar "snap" to the
appropriate dates.
Duration
Open the Properties
Dialog for any task.
Select all the text
in the Duration editbox.
Now type in a duration
for this task in hours, days or weeks using this format:
3 h = 3 hours
3 d = 3 days
3 w = 3 weeks
You can also enter
fractions such as 1.5d
Float Time
Dependency with Float or Lag time indicated
Setting a duration
that is longer than a Finish time will cause any dependency lines drawn
between this task and a dependent task to show as a "float line" indicating some slack time
has been budgetted in.
Notes on Duration:
At present there
is no "calendaring" feature in JCVGantt.
This means if you enter a duration such as 1.5d, it will base 1.5d on a 24 clock, and
estimat 36 hours
The calculations made will not take into consideration "duration of shift", holidays or
weekends.
Decimal or fractional durations DO NOT display correctly in MindManager's Task Info bar
because they only display integer values. This does not affect how information is stored or
displayed in JCVGantt.
