Percent Complete is used to track the percentage of a task that has been completed.

Open the Properties Dialog for any task.

Use the UP and DOWN arrows in the "Percent Complete" edit box to set the percentage of the activity that is complete

Alternatively… select the left side of any Task bar until you see a % done mouse icon, then drag to the right and a percent done bar will appear
