The ePurchaseGuarantee™ system, designed by I & A Research Inc., is a software download management service that allows electronic inventories of products to be ordered, billed for, and downloaded. Customers who need software quickly have the convenience of downloading non-crippled software, 24-hours-a-day. Publishers can sleep well knowing that they'll be paid by the Reseller for every product that is sold by the Reseller and that all downloads are securely managed. Resellers can sleep well knowing that if a sudden surge in purchases of a product occurs in the middle of the night on a product they will never "run out".
Download Management
The patent pending system system maintains an electronic inventory that can be added to by the Publisher. When a customer buys a product, the inventory is automatically decremented, and the customer is e-mailed (and shown) a hyperlink that connects them with a download area for each product they purchase on our site. All downloads are metered so that the customer cannot send the URL to all their friends for download. However if they do purchase a set quantity of products, then the number of allowed downloads reflects that. If they exceed the limit of allowed downloads, the download area locks up and refers them tech support, which has the ability to reset the download key if an honest mistake occurred. If the number of downloads exceeds the Reseller's inventory, then the Publisher will be automatically sent an electronic purchase order as soon as the inventory falls below a reorder level and they will never "run out". The Publisher can then easily increase the inventory. The system is easy to add to any shopping cart system so that once the credit card has been authorized, the download purchase can be made. Protection for the Publisher
If for some reason the Reseller doesn't pay the Publisher, the Publisher has the ability to "turn off" the download. Only the Publisher knows the location of the actual download. At no time does anyone else ever know where the download comes from. If the Publisher uses "SoftLocx" or a similar copy protection that requires a link to the unlocking key or unlocking page, this information can be displayed on the download page. If the Publisher typically e-mails keys, or needs to contact the customer, a receipt of purchase that is sent automatically at the time of purchase allows them to contact the Client as required.
